Short version: GLANCE Apps does not collect, store, or share your personal data. Your information stays on your device.
Who we are
GLANCE Apps is an independent software developer publishing applications for iOS, Android, and macOS, including dayGLANCE, lifeGLANCE, and others. This privacy policy covers all apps published under the GLANCE Apps name (collectively, "the Apps") and the glance-apps.com website.
Data we do not collect
Our Apps are designed to operate entirely on your device. We do not:
- Require you to create an account
- Collect personally identifiable information
- Transmit your journal entries, notes, goals, or any app content to our servers
- Track your location
- Use advertising identifiers
- Sell or share your data with third parties
Data stored on your device
All content you create within our Apps (entries, notes, goals, preferences, and similar data) is stored locally on your device using your platform's standard on-device storage mechanisms. This data remains under your control at all times.
If you use your platform's automatic backup service (such as iCloud Backup on Apple devices or Google Backup on Android), your device data may be backed up as part of your standard device backup. This is governed by your platform provider's privacy policy.
Calendar access
Some apps (such as dayGLANCE) may request access to your device's calendar to display your schedule. This access is read-only, used only to display information within the app, and no calendar data is transmitted outside your device. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device's Settings.
Analytics
We do not use third-party analytics services. Your platform's distribution service (such as Apple's App Store Connect or Google Play Console) may share aggregated, anonymized crash and usage data with us if you have opted into analytics on your device. This data cannot be used to identify you individually.
This website
The glance-apps.com website is a static site served via Vercel. Vercel may collect standard web server logs (IP address, request times, page URLs) for operational purposes. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics scripts on this site.
Children's privacy
Our Apps are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our Apps after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
